Geko's SuperSlope Cross Dashboard

Post by Geko »

Here is an update of my previous dashboard which can help you to monitor CSS crosses on multiple pairs and multiple timeframes:
2016-09-28_1533.png
Settings are really straight forward, you can choose which timeframes to display and the number of bars back to display.

Blue color = ADR values

Green color = CSS up for the pair
Light green color = CSS cross up occur
Maroon color = CSS down for the pair
Orange color = CSS cross down occur

B0 mean current open bar of the timeframe
B1 mean previous closed bar of the timeframe
B2 mean the bar before…

Signal:
- the first square mean that the trends were aligned on the 3 timeframes for the previous bar
- the second square mean that the trends are aligned on the 3 timeframes for the current bar
If you want to have the signals for 2 timeframes only just input the same timeframes for Mid term and short term timeframes and you can limit the number of bars back to 1 on the short timeframes settings

A click on the pair label or on the second square (current bar signal) will open the chart of the selected pair, you can specify the template in the DB settings.

Dashboard is movable anywhere on your screen.
01 - Click to select the dashboard (a little square will appear in the top left corner)
02 - Let shift keyboard button and left mouse clicked and drag and drop the DB where you want.
03 – Unselect the dashboard to make sure display is correct

The file comes as a compiled file as I am using some helpers (mqh) to code.

Working perfectly on build 1010, windows 10, coded with editor 1384.
Dashboard tested on TradersWay which has a suffix “i” and working fine.

If your platform lag, you can try to change the numbers of bars back for the 3 timeframes (change to 2 for example) and you can also change the refresh timer to 30 seconds, also make sure to have history loaded.

I don’t plan to turn this DB into an EA, I have coded it to help monitoring.

As I don’t know where to post this tool feel free to move this post anywhere else.

That’s it.

Edit: Alerts options added.

Great dashboard, very useful.

A message when the second signal is true (for current bar) and first signal is false (for previous bar) would be great. That way we would be alarmed when all three timeframes are alligned again which would make a nice entry.

Geko,

congratulations for the brilliant idea. I will test it out. Its very promising.

BTW, would you mind to reattach the picture? The attachment got lost on moving your post to a new thread. So one cant zoom it to the original size.

Thanks. Thomas

I've set this up with my M15, H1 and H4 approach. So easy now.. just watch the dash, open the chart on signal and see if there is a longer term pattern or recently tested support/resistance to support an entry and then jump in.

Also using it on VPS and setting the look back bars to just 2 works perfectly. Really easy way to see the CSS picture on all pairs quickly when not at home.

Attached my VPS set file in case this helps anyone setup.
