Bob's MN1 GBPCAD auto-trader

Post by SteveHopwood »

SERIOUS WARNING
  • Most Forex traders lose all their money.
  • Using the robot posted here in trading Forex does not guarantee success.
  • Trading this robot could lead to serious financial loss.
  • Trading this robot without understanding its underlying trading strategies guarantees traders will lose their money.
  • This is not a set-and-forget ea; there is no such thing and anyone who tries to claim there is, is either stupid or lying. This ea requires frequent manual intervention.
  • At best, a trading robot is only 90% as good as the manual strategy it trades. At best. At worst, it can be much less effective. If the strategy is rubbish, so is the robot.
  • To trade this robot, you have to understand:
    • How to use EA's. Remember to set IsGlobalPrimeOrECNCriminal to 'true' if your crim insists on two-stage order sending.
    • Page 37 of Nanningbob's 10.4 B manual
I am not yet trading this EA on my live account

Ok, this one is not going to be a trading tart. Here are the basics, as I understand them from P37 of Bob's manual:
  • Monthly chart.
  • GC ranges without violent movement.
  • When the market moves outside the Bollinger Bands (20, 1, Close) then moves back inside, then trade in the direction of the move back inside

I have set a default sl of 200 pips. From there, trades close following a cross of the opposite direction BB or any of the other exit inputs of your choice - all the usual stuff is there.

I usually use Crapergy Tester to backtest my code prior to release. It is impossible to craptest the code on the monthly because Crapergy Tester does not have the facility for monthly craptesting.

I have craptested it on lower time frames and the code appears to be working.

So, bung this on a GCAD MN1 chart and see if it does its thingy.

:D

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Yup.....;-)

Although reading Bobs page again and looking at the range - we are in that 20% lower area of the 1000 pip range now...

GBPCAD EA woken up - put me in a trade yesterday ;-)

Edit - Scratch that - I changed the TF of the chart and it closed my trade. Now wont trade.
Not to self - leave the chart alone.....
