Do you think there is a role for hanover with this one?

P.Script: 2030 EST. Up 1.3 % since Friday 0600. Floating 5% profit. I think this robot will be inherently safe. If it will give me 1/2%/day average, that will do. Khalid: Does your four year back test suggest that it might do that? Glenn

Hi Khalid,

You don't need the Myfxbook EA anymore to link your account to the website.
You can use the new addition feature (it works since a few weeks or months now).

Contact me if you need support with that ;)

Thank you for posting this nice EA. I like EAs like these which trade higher Timeframes and try to catch lots of pips in trade. I hope that this will be a great one!

Khalid: Thanks for the thorough and thoughtful reply.
SigTrader OOTB all majors and minor pairs: Up 1.7% with another floating profit of 2%; Friday NY Start.
Cowboy Go Markets Major and minor pairs, with H4 Hanover running: up 1.8% since opening bell Asian market Sunday. :mrgreen:

PS: Go market trades are apparently ignoring the hanover feature.
Have reset for Hanover D1, num pts. 15, Threshold 55/45 Confirm. candles 0.

The EA is:

However, it may be I am doing something wrong. :(

I don't have a copy of the code you are running, but the code in the first post (versions 1.2) looks solid.

I spent nearly an hour once trying to figure out why my code was opening two trades instead of one. It was because I had it running on two charts. :>

Hi there

Having searched the EA code, it appears that the "TradeLong" condition is not actually being used anywhere, apart from triggering a Return instruction near the end of the EA code. I could be wrong, but it's best that someone checks this and verifies that the trading section is absolutely intact, as intended.

For example, in The Beast EA, the "TradeLong" condition is included as follows:

Code: Select all

   if ((Ask <= target || Ask < HalfBottomLine && Low[1] <= BottomLine) && TradeLong && Touches >= TouchesRequired)
   { and so on..... }
Hope this helps.

Have a look at 2 period and 3 period LWMA, please, Khalid.
The 3 period, especially, appears to iron out most of the whipsaws.
I googled Gann's one period charts, and found that he also used 2 and 3.

Hi Khalid,

Sorry it this is a dumb question. What at would be the guidelines to manually specify long/short direction? A higher tf trend? In this case perhaps this could also be automated.
