Pitbul: Brian's strategy automated

SERIOUS WARNING
Most Forex traders lose all their money.
Using the robot posted here in trading Forex does not guarantee success.
Trading this robot could lead to serious financial loss.
Trading this robot without understanding its underlying trading strategies guarantees traders will lose their money.
This is not a set-and-forget ea. You will probably want to monitor the basket and take action independently of the EA.
At best, a trading robot is only 90% as good as the manual strategy it trades. At best. At worst, it can be much less effective. If the strategy is rubbish, so is the robot.
To trade this robot, you have to understand:

IMPORTANT: THIS EA IS EXPERIMENTAL AND MUST NOT BE USED ON A LIVE ACCOUNT.

This EA automates my understanding of Brian's Pitbull trading method, as simplified for me by Mobthehop. Please correct any misunderstanding:
    - at x time of day, take a basket of buy and sell trades based on Brian's Pitbull indicator, at the tiniest lot size available.
    - After a while, one of the trades will move strongly into profit. Close that trade and take out a further trade on that chart, and in the direction the trade was profitable.
    - rinse and repeat

The EA offers editable pairs taken from TIG's indi at viewtopic.php?p=7224#p7224 No need to add pair suffixes - Pb does this for you. Also, we do not need buy and sell pairs as ours is a virtual basket rather than a real one, so I have amalgamated both into one input.

AbsoluteTime and RelativeMode work as they do in George's indi. This EA calculates profits in the virtual basket differently, in that it calculates the virtual profit in pips rather than cash.

The virtual basket works by calculating the profit/loss based on buys taken at your specified measuring time. For trading based on these, there are options to buy the two biggest winners and sell the two biggest losers. By default, these are all enabled (TradeStrongestPair etc).

The EA looks for trades at the start of each candle chosen in TradingTimeFrame.

You can turn off the display of the virtual basket by setting ShowAllOnChart to false.

TradeThreshold allows you to set a minimum movement before Pb will send an individual trade.

The StopLoss and TakeProfit inputs are applied to individual trades should you choose to do so. At the mo, there is no maximum no of trades, so Pb will take them as a pair becomes one of the biggest winners/ biggest losers.

CashTakeProfit is the basket profit at which you want the basket closing.

Let's put down a bowl of food for this puppy and see how big it grows.

Got 4 Buy and 2 Sell within the first minutes

I'm thinking about removing the SL, and use the MPTM for hedging the whole basket, in case something goes wrong ... need to see if it's wise and if I find some good setting for handling this ..

Nice Work Steve, thanks a lot !!

Hi Steve,

absolutely brilliant website.

I dont know if its possible but could you make the ea buy only or sell only and then with the same options as you already have with these pairs AUDJPN,AUDUSD,EURCHF,EURJPY,EURUSD,EURGBP,GBPUSD,NZDUSD,USDCAD,USDCHF,USDJPY. the reason being that all these pairs are under 3 pip spread with gkfx spread betting. The ea fired of a buy on gbpchf and the spread was almost 9 pips on my demo and 5.5 pips on live.

If there is an easier way of doing it that I should know about with the existing ea I apologise now, not wanting to incur you wrath,

Humbly

Eamonn.

It could be that allowing a number of trades triggered by a short TradingTimeFrame then using mptm to manage the whole thing as a basket might be a good way to go. We shall see.

Over at FF there is a guy named Mobthehop who has reported success with Pitbull. Here is the link and here is how he plays it. It seems logical. We are looking for short term strength and taking a couple of quick trades. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread. ... ost5235089

We just bought a new house to remodel, so my recent trading activity has been nill, so I haven't actually traded Mob's game. But, it's high on my list.

4x, I basically follow what Brian outlined in this thread / his videos:
1. I normally trade H1 tf
2. I normally trade Asian hours - 0900Am till lunch Singapore time (till daily goal reached)
3. open basket of 10 currencies, 0.1 standards lots, min account balance USD 5,000, if less, use 0.05 std lots
4. wait an hour for the currencies to settle
5. use the currency strength meter for confirmation
6. Pos 1&2 and 9&10 currencies have to move at least 10-20 pips to confirm sufficient volatility / market activity
7. Sort basket loss on top / profit at bottom
8a. If SELL currencies are in profit, I place one sell order (0.5 lots) for position 10 and 9 (in Empty4 trade window), plus one or two SELL orders for position 1 or 2 (as the BUY currencies are negative)
8b. If BUY currencies are in profit, I place one buy order (0.5 lots) for position 10 and 9, plus one or two BUY orders for position 1 or 2 (as the SELL currencies are negative)
9. daily goal 3% on equity, once reached, I close all open positions

I have set in MPTM a Basket Jumping Stop = 6 $ (with breakeven profit = 2$)
And also a hedging at a certain level (can't remember now, it's on the other pc)

So either the trades hit the TP or trigger the JS and breakeven, and bam we start with new fresh trades, or in the eventuality the JS isn't triggered (would be bad luck so will indeed happen ..), then the hedge facility should enter in the game as some point .. (should be rare, because the buy and sell should neutralize themselves to a certain extent !? )

The big question now, regarding the hedging and the trades that go bad, is how to be able to control the DD on an effective manner .. as Brian, Chips & co do manually ... Because MPTM will hedge the initial pair(s) that goes bad (could be 2, 3 or 4 hedged trades). Instead, do you think Steve, having only ONE hedging trade to "offset" the part of the basket that turns negative, is something feasible ? (to try to replicate Brian's method. Based on the user's choice : his favorite 2 pairs (ex: AUDUSD), if the first one seem to be ranging then we go with the 2nd pair - i fthis ones is ranging too .. then we wait one trends again ??)

That's just a thought, let' see first how the bot behaves with MPTM on his side (a conservative JS and breakeven should make the trick, the thing is no need to be greedy)

Steve, great job.....

1. Seems to me that it would be beneficial to have a sleep timer after having placed one set of orders.

2. Am running this puppy for a couple of hours (lot 0.1. SL - TP 15 pips) and do not understand how often relative period (in my case H1) is updated - will check with George.

3. And the exotic pairs do not seem to be suitable for this.... Will reduce to original Pitbull pairs tomorrow
