Has anything like this been done before? Where we start all of the active EA's on the forum to go head to head ?

Nice idea. I have done similar "rat races" before with 1-4 EAs and different settings. Ancient times of Dottybot and family. It was very telling on the strengths and weaknesses of the contestants.

Comparability will be mandatory. Same pairs, same timeframes, same trading times and so on. If that will be given, it should be very informative.

I am working on my own gladiator right now, but still lots of work to do. We will have to take the next challenge.

Cheers, Thomas

Could you get it done for Oct 1st ? I know you can do it :P

I was thinking of providing 3/4 Servers with 3+ Empty4 clients all linked to one Myfxbook account.

and having it run for 3 months at time... any thoughts on the parameters, rules, contenders?

Definitely not. It is complex and will introduce new concepts as fuzzy logic and custom indicators to our EA scene. Whole new stuff. It must have legs before I publish it.

The latest EAs like Awesome, Awesome-B&W(different setfiles), PoS, HGB Candle Power, HGBnDnS, HGBnDnSnFB are all great EAs. As for the pairs, I always took ten majors. The timeframes are another sort of thing. You could probably let them to the races on M5, H1 and D1. Trading times - a good trading frame might be from Monday London opening to Friday Sydney closing.

Looking forward to some fun.

Great idea and hopefully by October we will have a clear winner for Awesome from set files tested so far and also the ability to add some risk management from our data.

Right now I reckon Candle Power will smoke the lot though!

Ok so I have settled on 4 EA's
  • Holy Graily Bob's Candle Power
  • Holy Graily Bob 'n Dotty 'n Super Slope 'n Flying Buddha
  • Awesome - original version
  • Awesome - bells and whistles version

I am not going to evaluate any other ones because they :
  • Have too much Drawdown
  • Not enough posts to justify it
  • Or an earlier/infant version of the ones listed
I will be using the following Set files for the EA's:
Screen Shot 2017-09-29 at 7.45.52 AM.png
I will be using the following 15 pairs. Let me know of any additions or subtractions i should make.
  1. AUDUSD
  2. AUDNZD
  3. EURCHF
  4. EURCAD
  5. EURGBP
  6. EURJPY
  7. EURUSD
  8. GBPAUD
  9. GBPUSD
  10. GBPJPY
  11. NZDUSD
  12. USDCAD
  13. USDCHF
  14. USDJPY
  15. XAUUSD
I will not intervene manually.
All accounts will have Rene's TradeChart & TradeReport Indicators.
All accounts will be available and public on the following myfxbook.com account.
I'll run them until London close.
