I have not been able to compile a new ea. I get an error after the last line,
'\end_of_program' - unexpected square bracket>Exit code: 1' and cannot find an unmatched bracket anywhere! any suggestions? also what do the new default routines (OnInit(), On Deinit(), On Tick(), OnTester(),etc) need to have?

Yep. Latest version of CrapIDE is as uninformative as previous versions.

Somewhere in the previous 6000 lines of code, you missed out a bracket. Or added a bracket. Or stuck in a semi-colon where you should have placed a bracket.

Or breathed, or something. The fucking compiler will not tell you where you went wrong.

Earlier today, I spent half an hour hunting down an 'unbalanced right parenthesis'.

Was there buggery an 'unbalanced right parenthesis'. For sure, I could not spot it, and I am quite good at this stuff these days.

In the end, I commented out the code. Then I copy/pasted the stuff from within the comment - hey presto, no more 'unbalanced right parenthesis'.

My friend, if you want to retain your sanity when coding this rubbish, never write more than two lines of code without attempting a compilation.

Always map out a cod block before filling it. So, in an if (some conditional) for example, I always (and I mean always) type:
if (some condition)
{

}//if (some condition)

and do a recompile to make sure some buggering blasted unbalanced something or other in line 432 is not going to cause me a problem at the end of the program in 8943 lines time.

Hmm, not sure if I am helping here or merely foaming at the mouth. Let's just say: I feel you pain, buddy. Good luck in sorting out the mess this crap has landed you in.
